I hope that everyone had a nice holiday season and enjoyed the special moments with family and friends. Unfortunately, the holidays are over and it's now time to settle back into the daily routine and do what we can to keep our environment safe and clean.
As in years past, January is "Bottle Order Month" in my Indianapolis office. I will order the 2012 bottles based on the Standardized Monitoring Frameworks (SMF) that I created for each of our client's last year. If you have received an updated SMF from IDEM, and it is different than the one I sent to you, please fax it to me at 317-299-6437. FYI - first quarter bottles are currently being shipped, so be on the lookout for them.
ELI is also offering to do CCRs again this year. We had a nice response last year, and have decided to do it again for the same price! If you don't have the time to organize all of your previous testing results or the patience to design the CCR yourself, then call me at 317-299-6469.
Hold on...I'VE SAVED THE BEST NEWS FOR LAST!! Since I composed the previous quarterly newsletter, ELI has opened up more Satellite Lab Locations in Central Indiana! The second Satellite location is in New Castle, IN. The lab opened its doors on October 1, 2011 and is located at 201 Race St. Suite 208 (in the Henry County Health Building). Brad Crowe Jr. is our Certified Lab Operator in New Castle and can be reached at 765-591-3006 during regular business hours. Our third Satellite location is in Carmel, IN. This lab will open its doors on February 1, 2012 and is located at 1235 Central Park Drive East (in the Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation - Monon Center). Chad Langley is our Certified lab Operator in Carmel and can be reached at 317-775-9371. Both labs are able to offer analytical services, sample collection and sample pick-ups, so if you are interested in getting a quote, or are already our client and currently ship your samples to Madison, but would like to start using one of our Satellite locations, please call me or the lab operators.
As always, thank you for your continued business. ELI has a lot of exciting news to share over the upcoming months, so stay tuned...
-Laurie
Here comes 2012...Happy New Year! 2011 was a great year and our geographic and physical expansions will continue thru 2012, in order to meet our growth of business.
Here at the Madison Lab, we are expanding our organic-(volatile and semi-volatile) chemistry laboratories and adding more GC/ECD & GC/MS instrumentation. We are also adding more laboratory space for our organic sample preparation. Although drinking water is our primary area of organic testing, we are expanding to handle larger volumes of contaminants in waste water, sludge, and hazardous wastes, starting in the second quarter of this year.
On another note, we recently updated our "Bottle Order Module" in our LIM system. From this point forward, a packing slip with the list of bottles you have requested for your tests, will be generated and placed in a packing-slip-pouch outside of your box. Please check the packing slip, as soon as you receive your sample bottle shipping container to verify the contents. This will allow you to know immediately if you have the correct bottles. Our Shipping Department's goals are to be on time, every time and with the correct bottles. This new Bottle Order program from our Shipping Department, will be a great improvement to you our valued client.
We are pleased to see the eleven new faces who have joined our ELI Team over the last 12-months. With the addition of our new employees, along with our present experienced staff, we are already experiencing improved efficiency to serve our clients across the USA. Our Analytical Department, Shipping Department, Data Reporting, and Web Communications, have all expanded with additional personnel, in order to provide quality results and better service. As always, our valued clients and their needs come first in our minds, when we are experiencing these types of expansions. If you have any technical questions regarding Drinking Water, Waste Water, or Solid Waste contaminants, or any feedback about our lab services, please feel free to contact me by phone or email.
I look forward to working with you!
-Whitney

Happy New Year!!
